Disability Advocacy Program – Represent clients in administrative proceedings and hearings before the Social Security Administration.


Domestic Violence – Represent domestic violence and sexual assault survivors.
Foreclosure – Litigate all phases of foreclosure defense cases.


HelpLine – Provide direct and comprehensive legal services to eligible clients on the HelpLine. Tenant Stability Program–Holistic services to clients with financial and other hardships that could result in loss of housing.

Salary and exact title dependent on experience. LASMNY is actively seeking one (1) dynamic full-time IT Technician in our Utica office. The IT Technician’s role is to provide support and maintenance to LASMNY’s network, computer and phone systems. Provides upgrades, modifications, monitoring, maintenance, technical support, repairs and limited end user training in a multi-server Windows network throughout LASMNY’s eight (8)-offices. The position is based in our Utica, New York office and reports to the Director of IT.


Essential Job Functions

  • Excellent knowledge of Windows 10, Microsoft Office 2019/365, SharePoint, Teams, and related applications/functions such as PDF Editors, Anti-Virus/SPAM programs, data recovery/archiving/retention, litigation holds and mobile email access;

  • Proven attention to detail following policies, procedures and other guidelines, performing and documenting all work, inventory and configurations;

  • Working knowledge of network administration (modifying users, groups, scripts, roles, performing backups and recovery, etc.) in Windows Server 2008 and newer preferred;

  • Working knowledge of Active Directory and/or Azure Active Directory preferred


Basic / functional knowledge of:

  • Microsoft Volume Licensing programs, administratio

  • Backing up/migrating Windows user state/profile(s)

  • Software image development/mass deployment

  • Network infrastructure (Firewalls, Routers, Switches, Wireless Access Points) VLANs, VPNs, DHCP, DNS and Remote Access platforms;

  • Demonstrates a high level of professionalism in dealing with confidential and sensitive issues;

  • Will be required to comply with all Legal Services Corporation (LSC) regulations, LASMNY policies and procedures and grant-based reporting requirements;

  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

Job Qualifications

  • One or more current IT Industry Certifications, such as:

  • CompTIA A+, Network +, Server+, or Security+

  • Microsoft Certification (such as Windows OS, Networking, or Office 365)

  • Cisco Certification (such as CCENT or CCT) or any Fortinet Certification

  • Associate’s degree in computer science/related field or 1+ years of IT system maintenance experience with an emphasis in network and desktop support or equivalent combination of education and experience;

  • Honorably discharged military with 4 years’ recent experience in an IT career field preferred;

  • Demonstrable Powershell experience (i.e.; developing/troubleshooting shell and login scripts for routine task automation); • Ability to identify, research, multi-task, prioritize and resolve problems; • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to interface with employees at all levels within the agency; • Ability to work a flexible schedule and extended hours for special projects; • Ability to reliably travel to all LASMNY offices; • Bilingual or multilingual skills a plus.

  • Physical Job Requirements and Activities • This job may require to lift and carry up to (50) pounds for short distances and safely work on ladders up to (12) feet tall.
